Stock action, 28th May 2020
Transitioned my holding of Alibaba solely to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange by selling out of Alibaba’s US listed ADRs at US$200,06.
As mentioned in a previous blog post, this was something that I was planning to do and given the deteriorating geopolitical and economic relationship between US and China, yesterday felt as good a time as any.

After qualifying as a chartered accountant in the UK and working in London for a leading technology company, I moved to Hong Kong in 2000 where I am a permanent resident. My 5 year portfolio performance during that time beat the benchmark stock indices of UK, Europe, India, Hong Kong,Australia, Brazil and Japan but not the S&P 500 nor the NASDAQ. My performance was also better than the global mutual funds that were benchmarked except for Value Partners in Hong Kong where we exchanged leads during that time.
